My name is David “Hutch” Hutchins, and I make a living stringing together gig after gig as a full-time musician. Music isn’t only my job, but it’s my passion. I love what I do. I’m cut from the family cloth and incorporate my family background into my day to day life and jobs.

Raised in Hobart, I started in a garage band and worked my way up. Now a days you’ll find me equipped with a guitar, harmonica and sometimes a kazoo. You’ll find me singing along with my instruments to a wide song list that I’ve put together over the years. I am very much a people person and love to playfully interaction with my audience and friends. You might even hear me asking some trivia questions or gently poking fun of you in my audience. It’s all about having fun.

I performed in the Northwest Indiana and Michigan markets. You can find me playing regularly at local eatery’s, pubs, clubs, family establishments, private parties and functions, among other gigs

Making a living as a full-time musician takes hard work and a strong work ethic. I credit my wife for being supportive and having a great job, which helps make it possible for me to perform full time. I encourage aspiring musicians to get an education and develop their skills. I believe you should be a business person, and understand your talent and find your niche. Through the course of being in the business, I’m always trying to cut out a niche for myself.
